Michelle Chen Kuo and her son Christopher take the stage at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music on September 25th, with all proceeds benefiting the AAPI community
NEW YORK, NY —
Two Piano Journey, the philanthropic piano duo of Christopher Kuo and his mother Michelle Chen Kuo, will perform a benefit concert this Friday, September 25th, at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music (450 West 37th Street, New York, NY 10018) in support of Meals for Unity, a New York City-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2021 in response to increased violence against the AAPI community.
All proceeds from the evening will go directly to Meals for Unity’s mission: partnering with local restaurants and businesses to distribute culturally appropriate meals to seniors and vulnerable communities across 4 boroughs — 14,000 meals distributed and counting.
The program will feature Christopher performing the first movement of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2, followed by a two-piano set with Michelle — an evening that places artistic ambition in direct service of community.
Two Piano Journey has raised over $3.3 million for philanthropic causes through the power of live performance and has been featured on PIX 11 NY, NBC Bay Area, and Asian American Life. This concert continues that legacy — bringing the concert hall into conversation with the communities that need it most.
