Eva Artistic Management is proud to announce the representation of Susan Merdinger, an American pianist and conductor known for her expressive performances and innovative programming, and a Steinway Artist since 2012.

Merdinger made her Carnegie Recital Hall debut at 24, after winning the Artists International Competition, and has since performed across Europe and the Americas, with broadcasts on WQXR, WFMT, and BBC Television. She has appeared with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the New Jersey Symphony, and members of the New York Philharmonic, and has performed more than thirty piano concertos. The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung praised her “daring, enormously joyous presentation.”

In February 2026, she appeared as soloist with the Highland Park Strings under Allan Dennis, performing Mozart’s Concerto for Two Pianos with pianist Steven Greene at Ravinia’s Bennett Gordon Hall. In 2025, she performed Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Northbrook Symphony under Mina Zikri. She is Co-Artistic Director of Sanctuary Sounds: Masterworks for the Spirit, a new concert series at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, and is featured in Sheridan Road Magazine’s October 2026 Power Women issue.

On the podium, Merdinger draws on decades as a soloist, duo pianist, and chamber musician. Her conducting studies began with Robert Kapilow and Otto Werner Mueller at Yale University and the Yale School of Music. She has guest-conducted numerous orchestras, including the Northshore Chamber Orchestra, and her vision for Sheridan Solisti reflects a lifelong commitment to new music and to mentoring young artists.

Merdinger has released more than eleven albums, including American Melting Pot and French Fantasy, and is a winner of The American Prize in Piano — Lorin Hollander Award, and two Global Music Awards gold medals. A graduate of Yale University, the Yale School of Music, and the Manhattan School of Music, she is an Artist Faculty member at the Summit Music Festival and the Burgos International Music Festival, and the founder of Sheridan Music Studio.

“Susan has spent decades earning her place at the keyboard — Carnegie Recital Hall, more than thirty concertos. What excites me now is the podium. She brings a soloist’s understanding of the orchestra to conducting, and we are proud to help presenters experience both sides of her artistry.”
