Justyna Zańko Closes 8th Season of "Classics in the Crown" at Lublin Crown Tribunal

The Polish Violinist Delivered a Landmark Solo Performance of Biber and Bach, Drawing an Elite Audience to One of Poland's Most Celebrated Historical Stages

LUBLIN, Poland — The 8th edition of Classics in the Crown reached its triumphant conclusion on June 27, 2026, at the Lublin Crown Tribunal, with violinist Justyna Zańko delivering a solo performance of rare technical and expressive power. The grand finale drew a distinguished audience of seasoned melomani, cultural figures, and arts community leaders — a turnout that reflects the series' growing reputation as one of Poland's premier destinations for classical music at the highest level.

Zańko performed two cornerstones of the unaccompanied violin repertoire: H.I.F. Biber's Passacaglia in G Minor and J.S. Bach's Partita for Solo Violin No. 2 in D Minor, BWV 1004 — works that demand not only technical command but a complete mastery of the instrument's voice. The response from the audience was immediate and profound. Listeners noted the exceptional quality of Zańko's sound — vibrant, powerful, and remarkably uniform across the instrument's entire range — and described the experience as indistinguishable from the standards heard on the world's most prestigious stages.

Presented by the Virtuoso Music Foundation (Fundacja Muzyczna Virtuoso), the 8th season was held under the Honorary Patronage of the Voivode of the Lubelskie Voivodeship and supported by Radio Lublin as official media partner. For Zańko, the Crown Tribunal is familiar ground. Born in Lublin, she has appeared at Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Mozarteum in Salzburg — and has now returned to her home city to close a season she helped define. Her 2021 solo album featuring works by Bach, Ysaÿe, and Biber speaks directly to the repertoire she brought to Lublin, and her command of it was unmistakable.

About Justyna Zańko

Justyna Zańko is a Polish violinist who performs as both soloist and chamber musician on international stages. She has appeared at Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, the Beethoven House in Bonn, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, and the Crown Tribunal in Lublin. A graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, she completed postgraduate studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, receiving an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Performance. Her 2021 solo album features works by Bach, Ysaÿe, and Biber. Justyna Zańko is represented by Eva Artistic Management.
